WheelOfFortune

Who's getting the jackpot?

A golden wheel, one click, and a few seconds of suspense. Who's getting the jackpot?

Features

A proper 3D wheel - The wheel is built directly in the world using display entities. It sits flat on its table, just like the real thing you see on TV. No resource pack, schematic or extra blocks required.

Set it up in seconds - Stand wherever you want the wheel, run /wof generate, and you're ready to go.

Just click and spin - Players don't need to know any commands. They simply click the wheel and let their luck do the rest.

One player at a time - While someone is spinning, everyone else has to wait. No two spins can happen at the same time.

A cooldown for every player - Players get a 5-hour cooldown by default. It is shared across every wheel on the server and is saved through restarts.

What's coming next

Item prizes - Give players actual items such as armour, swords and potions directly from prizes.yml.

More languages - French, Spanish and German are planned, just like with my other plugins.

Have an idea? - If there's something you'd like to see added, feel free to reach out on Discord. I'm always open to suggestions.

How it works

First, stand where you want the wheel to be and look in the direction your players will be coming from. Then simply run:

/wof generate

That's it. A golden wheel will appear on four golden legs at table height, with the arrow facing the direction you were looking.

From there, players only need to click the wheel.

As soon as someone starts a spin, the winning prize is selected and the wheel begins its animation. It starts fast, slows down gradually, and eventually lands on the winning space.

Every space makes a small clicking sound as it passes the arrow, while the hologram above the wheel follows the action.

Once the wheel stops, the player receives their money, a title appears on screen and the fireworks celebrate the win.

After a few seconds, the wheel is ready for the next player.

The prizes

This is probably the only part that requires a little bit of setup.

Your prizes are defined in prizes.yml, and all the segments must add up to exactly 12.

prizes:
fifty:
label: "&f50$" # written on the case and in the hologram
color: YELLOW # the colour of its case
segments: 3 # 3 cases out of 12 = 25% chance
fireworks: 1 # 0 to 5
rewards:
money: 50

jackpot:
label: "&6&l1000$"
color: BLACK
segments: 1 # 1 case out of 12 = 8.3%
fireworks: 5
rewards:
money: 1000

You don't have to worry about positioning the prizes around the wheel. The plugin handles that automatically.

Prizes of the same type are kept apart, so they won't be placed next to each other. The jackpot is also always placed between two smaller prizes.

By default, the wheel follows the classic TV-style colours:

1$ grey, 10$ light blue, 20$ green, 50$ yellow, 100$ orange, 200$ red, 500$ purple, 1000$ black and gold.
